smirnoff image channel help scanning

I have just recently changed my tuner for a cable one in my 800hd clone. Each time i scan for channels i get 256 channels evertime, with only a chosen few coming in. I have changed the cable.xml for an upto date one from here. I have tried First available in autobouquets in smirnoffs image and Manchester 1 and 2 ( I live in Warrington ) Tried 0000 net id in tuner configuration, and yet still the same 256 channels everytime...tearing my hair out with it. Thanks for the image btw Smirnoff.

Oh and i was using a splitter for my broadband and tried it direct feed with the same 256 channels.

I'm having a similar prob m8.
I only get 186 channels but that's ok.. but I only get a few coming in too.
Tried 3 test lines..no diff.
Also tried first available, etc..etc...
Also tried direct feed ....no diff.
They aren't greyed out either, I evn get the epg guide up..which only makes it more annoying..hehehe.

Yours sounds exactly the same as me...baffled to say the least. 256 channels every time.
