HELP! how to copy from dreambox hdd to pc hdd via telnet

Hi there i have a dm600c and i have backedup my image in the nfi format which i would like to share with everyone here, it has all channels in VM order in boquets, currently i want to transfer this image from the dreambox to my pc but i get errors on telnet. the command i use is

    cp /hdd/backup_image_20090802.nfi /desktop

but i get the following error

cp unable to open '/desktop': No space left on device

but i have over a 100gb free space on my hdd and im using dream control center. any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance

because ftp is taking over an hours and then disconnects for some weird reason, telnet i believe will only take a 1min or 2

over an hour? i can ftp a 2.5 gb film from my dm to my xbox in under an hour, your dm backup image should only be about 20mg...

i am unsure of the telnet file transfer commands as I have not used telnet for a while... but google has just given loads of places offering info...

check the ethernet port on the back of the dreambox ,make sure the little light is on constantly or try different cable and check the ethernet port on your pc as well and the ethernet ends are ok

                      isn't telnet the 'put' command.

                      or 'get' ?
