Seems the 500HD and dm8000 clones will be availble soon
Just annouced in dvbseller.com monthly newsletter:

"IMPORTANT News Update on NEW Models:

As we continue to provide the best quality units from China with the latest technology we are happy to annouce we have begun development of the DM8000 AND the DM500HD models. We estimate to have completed testing in our factory within two months and make availible to customers then, we do not have a prices confirmation as yet, but will annouce prices when availible."

Cant wait to get my hands on the 500HD especially....will be good timing while virgin add on some extra HD channels

thats exactly what i was thinking the clone will be coming out first, what swung it for me was when i scanned for espn and saw that they are having it in hd

two months thats when the real 500hd one is going to be out anyway from what is going about some of the sat forums have only seen one test image for the 500hd and no one even knows if it will work on the box yet as for the 8000 you would be game to take a clone on going by the probs people have had with the 800 when they want to use old images but if you dont mind then im sure you will be happy

N3 channels can be streamed on a HD box,working in Ireland.
HD boxes are picking up the HD channels but are only viewable via streaming.

thats a good point there freck, if i delete the keys from my box, but use web x tv on my pc, would i see the channel??

Dunno if the bbcHD channels are free to air but are viewable on the ipbox via vlc player on your pc.
Theres no need to delete any keys,vlc will stream your tv channels to pc anyway,keys or no keys it doesnt matter it'll just transmit the video/audio.
