Perhaps you had not been exposed to IPTV for a long time.
Lag was things of the past, nowadays with new Quad core processors, large internal cache memory, faster broadband connection, multiple source and most importantly, the newer streaming P4P technology. The video streams are stable, as they stream data generally was preloaded and cached, playback would only be laggy if the broadband connection is poor.

My HDC601 is here.... Not very good... Cant see EPL... Can see a while then most of the time keep scramble....
Some other channel oso scramble... No lag when tuning channel but will scramble when see EPL.... If i see like 855... is ok...
For sport channel, it can see then will scramble and hang... then ok a while then scramble again... Dunno if it is due to my internet speed....

What's type is yr internet connection? Fibre, cable modem?

I check with the seller... he say they doing some adjustment tonite... Will be ok after a while.... And now it seems smooth... no more scramble... MY EPL looks perfect now....
