Rework on Tuner for DM800 and 800se

Make a jig like the pic attached.

Use solder sucker and a 40watts soldering Iron extract the tuner from it combo board.
Take out the bottom cover of the tuner.

What do u mean master?? U teaching how to reuse the dm8000?

Get an old tuner, use it bottom cover make a square hole like the pic show.

Put the cover with a cut square hole to the tuner needed to rework. Then stuck it into the jig tuner board.

Put the jig holding the faulty tuner to your Dreambox, DM800 or 800se which ever. Then power up.

After power up u see the TV behind BPL only top part is shown, the picture very unstable and not viewable in most.

Use a long chopstick with the working pointed end sharpen like a wedge.
Stuck it to the verticle coil and adj it SLOWLY making the coil more compact or smaller.

I repeat do it SSLLOOWWLY unit BPL pic comes out undistorted.
This method worked 100%, it had nvr failed me.

I used the side of the dreambox as level pushing my chopstick down and the coil goes small in length till the pic is clear. STOPPED.
It done, dont try any further or u cant go backwack to recover.

I reboot and see if the adjustment stays. The screen show it properly adjusted.
Attach is after reboot the adjmt confirmed ok.

You can also do with just resoldered the dry joint. Works for me before the end game...

Put the original bottom cover back and its done. This tuner is good for 226 and 227 liao.

Hope you all hv a happy time playing with what I found to be working.

This tutorial is for rework, adjusting the tuner, pls dont post the TABOO subject as how to see. I dont know how too. So dont ask me.
I m lost too.

Those dont hv a jig, u may try shorten, or compress the spring like coil by 2.0mm only.
This method without jig is not 100% but can try.
I started off this way till someone throw a few useless tuner to me, then I hv extra board to make a jig.

Master Jatrophaseed, any remedy for channel 230 not watchable?

230 can watch video but no sound. It a bug of E2 on Dreambox 800 series. I dont hv the patch but there was 1 done by DvbChampion who got Banned.
Try a new e2 box call Gzemma H1, it hv all chn viewable and better than DM800, 800se if not as good.
buy the clone versions will do.

Zgemma-Star H1 not cheap and not easy for beginners..
