    DM600 Getting a new Dreambox 600

Not sure if i should post in cable or sat, but here goes.

Im getting a Dreambox 600 tomorrow so doing a bit of reading up, had a 500c but want a hdd ect.

Im getting a cable tuner and a sat tuner with it, so i can take to my gfs and cs... but thats a different story.

Can someone tell me whats the latest image for this box? i used digitalworldz 2.0 on my 500c. something similar would be fine, ive read that some new dreambox 600 images actually kill the clones? is this true?

I want to do a dual boot, i think this may be possible with barry allen?

Can i put a cable image on it and a sat image too?

Sorry if these questions have been asked loads before, its just that the 500c seems to be much more popular.

Any help would be excellent, i'll have a thousand more questions when i get my box

99% of images are made for sat
    then configured for cable
usally what ever image you put on ,on first boot defaults to what ever tuner is installed for scaning sat or cable
with cable you can do a manual network scan or ftp a cable.xml to the box for automatic scan

Thanks for the reply, im planning on taking the dreambox with em to my girlfriends, because im lazy and a cheapskate, so would be a bonus if i could do a dual boot?

Is there a barry allen tut or does that even work?

Would prefer not to flash a new image everytime i go to hers TBH.

      Thanks.

the only thing i found in the past is with barryallen on a dm600 is if your multibooting of a internal hdd is that the hdd may not sleep and will always be on
usally an inactive hdd goes into sleep mode if not used in 5mins by default
which may have to be changed in the settings to never sleep, you may or may not get an earley hdd problem
but dont let me put you off thou
