hi iam a newby to cable i have just put cable tuner into my dm800se copied xml file to tuxbox scanned chanels using provider vm but only get 157 chanells i have tried manual scans tried to follow tuts on here but cannot get my head around it do i have to alter the xml file in some way i am using SIM2-SSL84B-DreamboxUK-DM800SE any help very much appreciated thanks

been scanning channels again no luck though do you think it could be a duff tuner?

Get c2 cable auto bouquets plugin and run your local area, may be two areas that are similar so run each as the right area will give you all channels, I had same issues when setting up my box

thanks for reply couldnt find c2 cable auto bouquets but found xml bouquet and services for my area added them to tuxbox did auto scan and its just the same no more channels

You really need to find this plugin or find an image with it built in otherwise I think you'll need someone to send you a channel list for your area and you'll need to upload via dreambox edit, I've attached a couple of photos so you know what your looking for, like I said previous I was searching one area and only getting half the channels then I realised there was another area and searched that and got them all now.

image is sat4fun dbuk 2.1.2 for dm800se bouquet plugin is missing from list of plugins and wont download any extra plugins i think i will look for another image

I use an openpli image, but mine is only a dm800 otherwise I'd of sent you it, as long as you can get a working ts panel you should be able to download that plugin, good luck!!

anthmatthews is right, you need to update your image up to ssl84d now mate and PLI or openATV are your best bet, just make sure you use the correct one for your sim.
Also google how to move your plugins to your pen drive and you can then load as many as you like, including TSpanel/autobouquets as anth suggests.
I think you may need to find a different xml file as you are not finding many channels, seems you might be missing a fair bit of transponder data.
You will find one via net, there will probably be one on here if you search.
Regards scanning: Dont think that the name your tuner finds (cable UK/Bruteforce) makes any difference mate, it can be edited in the xml file to read "leodis's cable tv" as long as your tuner can see it it will read it.

put new image on 84d out of d/load section added xml found on here did bruteforce and hooray hooray all channels so thank you 003/antmathews
