Dreambox 500T

Can anyone tell me will the Dreamup software that is installed on the 500c work on the 500t in Ireland.

i think your confused mate..

there is no dreamup software installed on the dreambox..

dreamup is the program that lets you flash images such as gemini or dkv1.1 to the box.. then you will need to download an emulator to open the channels

Also depends where you are in Ireland, NTL-500C, Chxxus-
500T,

Exact same image will work, once you have chorus scan options on your image, I think the ntl BF scan is the same as chorus, so that should do ya, but open to correction on this!

hi its my first time trying to flash a dreambox when i connect my dreambox to pc using crossover cable and start dreamup it wont connect with the box i was hoping to put dk 1,1 on it iv tried filezilla too im totally lost here and iv read a lot of guides any help greatly appreciated

It's an RS232 type crossover you need, known as 'null modem' cable to flash unit using 'Dreamup'.
Open dreamup, connect cable to pc and dreambox, then and only then -you power up the dreambox, it should go through a short sequence, and then it should say that box is alive and speaking to us! you can now flash your image!

You have to use an FTP client to flash dreambox using ethernet crossover cable!
