card slot 500c

hi this may seem a silly question but im still a noob what exactly are the card slots for and how do i use them on my 500c ?

The card slots aren't used on cable. The same design is used for the cable, satellite and terrestrial models of the DM500. THe card slot is used more on the satellite side of things.
