My pace box starts to freeze and get a bit jumpy if I dont turn it off now and again and let it cool down mind you it used to be fine the older its getting the problem seems to get worse.

As your box is new,ish I dont think its that but alot of people have been going on about there jumpy screens after a power cut a few week back.

Could just be virgin messing around with this new 50 meg Bband who knows
cheap cable also can cause a freezing problem I,ve used old ariel cable a few times to split feeds and the picture tended to jump now and again.

you,ll suss it out you old mucka

try swapping the wires over on the splitter then you can cancel the splitter out if the splitters ok try a new line of cable might be a bit frayed inside if its been rolled up etc

just a thought though you know im shite at tech stuff

What cam you using? I find anything other than Evcamd 2.14 and the picture just freezes or breaks.

@napster I would remove the booster as you really don't need it with the DM600.

Try Evocamd 2.14 or Evocamd 2.17 though with cable latest is not always the bestest.

Using Evocamd 2.17c here without much trouble (no freezing or decoding artifacts). Maybe you've got some issues with the box itself smirnoff? If you leave the box on for a while, navigate to some channels giving you issues and then have a look at the output for the "dmesg" command in a telnet/SSH session you might get some further insight into any possible hardware problems.

Hehe. Curious that it worked with your DM500 and not your DM600 though, and that it just spontaneously stopped working properly. Did you get hungry and chew on your splitter late one night or something?
