    dm 500t

i recency put in a 500t in my uncles house
everything seemed ok but later he called me the box was freezing
first i thought it was the wiring so i changed it
before i go further snr 99 agr 55 ber 0 and every so often it will change to snr 16 agr 55 ber 335704 or there abouts and then back to 99 55 0
i then thought the box was faulty so i swapped it with mine
    no change
so then i changed the antenna no change
so now i think its the power supply in the house
its a one off house in a rural area but close to a chorus transmitter
i think there is dips in the voltage coming to the house
i am now looking at a ups unit (uninterupted power supply)
my question is does anybody know anything about these
and where i can get one in munster
ps i also changed the power inserter
    thanks

this is quite common in rural areas, a buddy of mine could not get a 500 to
work in his house no matter what he tried.....even ch0rus could not get a
legit box workin so he had to stick with sly

Chorus use 18v and 24v power supplies and different aerials with different gains on them.It depends how far you are from the signal and the lye of the land e.g. you might need a higher pole to mount it.
Look around at the neighbours and it will give you a fair idea what youll need to do.
