Hi All, i have a dm500c flashed with DK1.1 and i have all the set up pretty well done. This box worked at my mates house and we had all the channels However , after bringing it to my place, and having scanned again using brute force, i pick up all the channels but skysports 1,2,3 do not show. i get this message saying service not found. i do get sky sports extra and ESPN plus all the movie channels Can anyone out there have a solution to this problem?? i do get the EPG and good signal levels on these channels but nothing shows . help pls?::

That problems isn ormally caused by a bad line at your place. Have you got your cable line split?
If so, plug the unit in BEFORE any split in the line and test it again. other option is to get a booster from argus to strengthen your line.

As bonesy said, get sig. strength right. Is your mate on same PROV.
Save your services & bouquet xml. lists on desktop. Then re-scan-box
using brute-force setting. If problem chls clear take note of freqs values.
Then open services xml list on desktop & edit chl. freq values of prob. chls.
if they differ. Then transfer xml lists on to box.

What kind of booster shld i get from argos?? and how do you operate it. i tried using this one i bought from ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Cable-TV-signa...rksid=p3286.c0. but i get no signal at all.....where exactly do i have to place this booster if it is the right one?? thanks

what area are you in?
It could be your in an analogue area, you cant pick up sports channels, does sky1 work? Because thats got the same problem.
Go to virgn website and put your postcode in, it will tell if your in analogue or digital area.

Se28 area, according to them i am not in a fibre optic area ...why do i still get ESPN , skysports extra sky1 then?

for some reason or another it is probably to do with their digital signals, sports is no longer available in analogue only digital. To be honest I'm not sure why. Until your area does not become digital you wont be able to get the main sports channels (1,2,3)
