I've completed all my testing. My process as follows, this differs with Curious' method slightly so your mileage....

1. Obtain latest image - I used PLI 30th Dec.
2. Installed via bootloader method. (5mins) (can also use Dreamup if required - 30mins)
3. When image boots, copy appropriate cables.xml file to etc/tuxbox
4. Complete a transponder scan with appropriate provider.
5. Copy contents of keys.rar to usr/keys
6. Symlink usr/keys to etc/tuxbox/scce
7. Using blue planel download older softcam - I used 2.14 as per recommendation.
8. chmod all files in usr/keys to +755
9. Use blue panel to select default cam and green button to save+start the cam.
10. Flick to a normally encrypted station and wait (20 seconds or so, then I changed to another encrypted channel and all was good!)

One difference between the keys.rar and my other working dreambox was the presence of an Info.txt file that not in the keys.rar - I added this in too, just to be sure!

All good. And a good experience rather than just using another persons image.

Extra configurations.
Copied a modied remote control file to allow the right-left keys to change bouquets. (Nutrino Style)
Copy Mr.Dude's pulse skin over.

I notice the epg now has little picture icons for a number of channels - sweet!

Look into the downloads area. I just downloaded the Nottingham services and bouquets file and it contains a Cables.xml for the UK.

Hi i have a dm600, ive done as u guys have previously instructed.....i have installed the pli image , ftp cables.xml and ftp the keys folder and scce........ i do a scan and start evocam2.14 ..........
Im only getting channels 1 to 5 afew others............ wot am i doing wrong?? anyone able to help??

Make sure that you have a Cables.xml file for your region. When you scan you should see the result showing that you have found x number of channels, x number of radio stations etc.

Hi, yeah i have done a scan using brutforce..... then go back to my tv but still no pic..... i can see the channel listing electronic giude etc but just no pic......

Makes sense, so you can see FTA channels but nothing else.
Did you make sure to chmod (change permission) on the files in usr\keys ?
Did you symlink the keys with the scce folder?
Then using the blue button you go into softcam setup and choose evocam as the default. Green button then saves+starts the cam. You need to then flick to a normally encrypted channel and wait a minute.

ok this is wot i have done on my 600c.......
flashed it with pli image, ftp cable.xml , then ftp keys to var/keys, then ftp scce to the scce folder, scanned for transponders, then installed evocamd running 2.14 at the mo, have restarted the cam ....but still no channels apartfrom 1 to 5.
How do i chmod on files in usr/keys?? and how do i symlink them as i read that u dont need to do that on a dm600?????

No need to symlink, to chmod in the ftp program you need to select properties and than type in 755. Chmod is used for setting permissions on files. Try turning to S*y Sports1 and wait a few minutes to see if that clears for you.

The benefit of symlink is that you only need to copy files to one location. It's up to you really. FlashFXP has a chmod property that you can apply by right-clicking on the files. Or you can do it by telnet for all files in the folder, I think the command is chmod * +755 (need to verify that command)

ok i changed the chmod to 755 and ticked apply to subfolders, have restarted evo 2.14 but still nothing??? i just dont know where im going wrong..any ideas??
