It's not really possible directly without some extra software as the Dreambox really just outputs the content it receives directly and doesn't support transcoding the stream. If you search the forum here there was a recent thread discussing ways to use another PC to do the encoding for you.

There's a thread here for streaming over the internet.

Here's a guide on how to stream your dreambox channels over the internet. There's a few apps needed and your PC needs to be on 24/7 to transcode the stream to a manageable bitrate. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=22)

The output from the dreambox is about 4/5 MB per second for a channel. There's no way that you'll get 5MB upload speed on any domestic broadband, virgins max upload is 768kb/s. So the stream needs to be transcoded to a lower bitrate so that it can be transmitted effectively. The quality of the channels will be decreased but should still be watchable.

I think your best bet is to get a WinTV card for your PC, use the composite output on the dreambox and connect it to the tv card, then you can use the onboard MPEG transcoding on the card in combination with various bits of software to stream it effectively.

There are also other options: Slingbox works well and easy to set up, or if you have a PC running windows or linux, on the same local network, the re-stream project works well. Google for "Re-stream M4RTiN". With the latter it is not that hard to set up but follow the instructions to the letter -especially making sure you get the right addresses in the config file.

If you have a DM500, make sure you have a good network as they struggle a bit, but it does work with some patience.
