No on-demand channels

    DM500 No on-demand channels

    Hi

    I cant get on demand channels working on the dream box (box office) does anybody have solution?

    Well I think I have half the answer. Dreambox has no talkback (back channel) to request any on Demand channels. So you wont be able to request them. However, if someone else in your street has requested them, then there ought to be a way of seeing them (add to services/bouquets). But you would have no control over what crap they "demanded".

    ...welll I did say only half an answer!

      If you do a normal channel scan, the on demand channels are added at the top of the All Services page. They'll be named...

      563 SID 0x52f
      563 SID 0x53b
      651 SID 0x05

      etc etc etc

      They will be different for your area so no point in adding them, just do an automatic scan and you'll get whatever is being transmitted at that time.

      Sky Box Office Sports is another thing altogether, there's a thread in there on how to get it.

          Menu > Setup > Service Searching > Automatic Transponder Scan > Choose Config > Scan

            Im not with you there Df,,after Automatic Transponder Scan > I get 3 choices,,how do I "chose config"?

              Choose whichever setting is appropriate for your area.

              If you're in an ntl area, scan on 6887.
              If you're in a tw area, scan on 6952.
              If you don't know, use Bruteforce.

                Thanks Df ,, im just learning terminologies,, I understand now what you meant with service files I found an old write up "sevices no extensions"
