    Null Modem Cable Question

    HI all
ive read all the tutorials and stuff but my laptop does not have a port for the standard null modem cable (the 5pin on top and 4 on bottom thing) so can i flash with a crossover cable that looks like an ethernet cable ? ?? im lost on this - i was able to simply flash my dreambox on my desktop as it had the serial port but this new laptop doesnt. Im presuming i could buy a cable with one side that has the 9 pin connection so i can attach that to the dream box and the other side that has a usb attachment ?!?! please can someone help or provide a link where i can buy the right cable from please please please....asking in desperation before i buy a new dreambox 500c, for about ?60 off the net

I think you still need the null modem to usb for the 'image' part of the build so that you have something to ftp to......??

        i could be wrong though
