    Begginers question

    Hi All

I am completely new to this and desperately need some help, Ive scoured the internet and read loads of info regarding Dreambox and Dbox etc and i am completely baffled. After reading some posts on your forum it's quite apparent you guy's know what your talking about, so here's my question.

I have a basic cable package and would like to "squeeze" a little more viewing from it but not sure what i need to buy and what I will need to acheive this. I am quite computer savvy and have read your guide to flashing the thingy and backing up the wotsit and that would be no prob but I would appreciate your guidance on what recievers are recomended and if at all this is possible.

Sorry if this is a noob question and for posting it in the first place.

Many thanks in advance for any help.

    Regards Chris

As Deni says the Euro HD box is a good choice Eurovox EX7000 HD+ 1080i Cable Box?::?Cable Receivers?::?Skywonder Ltd But expensive.

Good budget box is Eurovox Max EX1000 SL?::?Cable Receivers?::?Skywonder Ltd or The Box Super USB - Starview 4?::?Cable Receivers?::?Skywonder Ltd

Or you could go the dreambox route a little more complicated but superior in other ways Dreambox 500C Digital Cable STB [DM500-C] - $69.99 : Sat Sun, Digital TV please bear in mind you'll pay ?20 postage and it is a clone from China but that being said still worth it

I see you have a garage section. ive been in the trade for many years on Peugeot and Citroen so I will help in any way I can in that section to at least contribute something back to the Forum.

                  Hi There,

I have the starview 4. Easy to set, even for me. Nothing to compare it to and no expert, but if I can get it working, then anyone can

Amazingly I have done it, came with a USB stick, installed and renamed the flash file and it worked.
Up and running like a good one and High Def to boot.

                    Many Thanks again
