IS the future HD or is peeps sticking with their 500?

As the title says...

Just wondered what peoples thoughts were on upgrading to the latest units (8000, 800HD).
I don't know about you guys but had my 500C for about 4 years now and still happy with it, never give me a problem (only self inflicted ).
Debating whether to invest in a 800HDPVR as working images are appearing but still appears to be minor interest in these? Maybe I'm wrong, but can find little info with regards threads on this model.
Is it because of the lack of HD channels currently on VM or the lack of support with images etc?

Just wanted to know your thoughts.

Personally I would wait until virgin add more HD channels...but looking at how cheap the 800Hd has become, I am truely tempted to get one for the bedroom.

Yeh I just noticed that too! Had a word with SMS and they are knocking them out now for ?387. The new 500SHD is sat only, unsure why they never made a 500CHD??

Well, due to this thread making me thing again, I've decided to get 800C just to play with it and se how good they really are. Got it from the usual supplier dvbseller.com so will open it up when arrvives and give some pics and results on testing.
