If it defaults to the same scanning options then I would say it's a sat box

just uploaded the image soon as i put it on went to scan and had a full list of areas to search so just scanning for channels now will let you know soon but all looks well and cant thank you enough for the help.

No prob you'll probably end up with loads of doubles but you can delete the non working ones thought you had a wrongun there usually when it defaults like that it aint a good sign

just doing a search on cable uk.
must admit i like this site and will be on here for ever more .
must admit was bit worried but would of just put that on the sat as i have technomate sat reciever but think could be time for a change.

Works great for me on the CABLE side, can stream/record etc etc pretty easily

right did a scan it was saying it had found the channels but when go to view them they are not there and when look only has 26 tv channels but with no picture?

i have all the scanning options bruteforce cable uk and really looks like the full list

right got the channel list of all the channels on now but only getting the free stuff.
i did the cable uk6952 as i have a d box and remember seeing that on there.
so question now is do i need the keys?
