Does anyone have a picture of how the RS232 cable is connected? I got a clone box currently not flashable. It works with my other box so its definitely not a connection issue.

Quite often the rs232 connector cable to the mainboard may be connected wrong way round...just unplug it turn it round and try that.

So do you mean that the cable still fits into the connector of the motherboard even if its reversed?

Yes, just turn it around on pins and then try to connect with Dreamup!
