...can only watch FTA channels, can you help?

Hi All, recently got dreambox 500c flashed it with help of dreamup and dkv1.1 Used flash fxp to put keys and scee (D/l'd from rapid share via link from DiKaos) into appropriate var folder in DB. was reading devilfishs guide and following youtube film too!

only after successful automatic transponder scan with bruteforce all worked well. After disconnecting rebooting My dream box had 100's of channel listing but I can only view FTA channels no error message appearing just the info bar (s8y sprt1 for instance) with channel info but no feed. I have re-read all instructions and carried out evocam thing buy holding INFO for 3 secs and starting evocam (2.12) then swapping to s8y sprt2, Still noting.

This is why I'm asking you guys & Gals, All I've read on this and other forums says all keys and roms are already in those files I ftp'd from my pc to DB. I have reflashed box and followed all instruction again to the letter. I've secured all cables )power scart, cable feed and patch to router) rebooted and still only FTA's.
Any help gratefully received.

Have you got the right roms. There is a nagrarom fix dated 28/11/08. If you followed the newbs guide the link for the keys is out of date. You need to get the updated roms and ftp them into the /var/scce/ folder. Hope this helps.

When I first done my dreambox 500c I was scratching my head because like you I had done everything to the letter. I only had FTA channels and all other screens were black. I then discovered about starting the cam.

As you have the DK1.1 image press and hold the info button after about 3 seconds or so a box will pop up on screen, press the OK button and it will then say, starting evocam or something similar. Tune into one of the sky movies or sports channels and the picture will eventually show.

I have gone through the evocam held the info for 3 sec while on sk sprt1 and flipping to s sprt 2 to no avail.
I have also tried to download the
### Nagrarom Auto Update Fix - 29-11-08 ###
but I'm not allowed to download it. Have tried Google and www but all brings me back here to DK and ' you do not have permission to access...' statement.

Do either of you know what the requirements are to gain access?

Marxian your advice hit the spot and I now have mucho mucho sport, foreign tv , ~~~~ and my fave, QVC!!!!

I managed to locate a copy of 'the fix' file I said I was unable to download from DK. once I had it, (nagrarom10 .bin file) ftp'd it to my var scee file in the DB. Overwrite the original nagrarom10.bin file. went to S7y Spr1 hold info then head over to S7y Spr2 went for a smoke came back nearly fainted cause it worked.

All 3 reply's were heaven sent but Marxian wins my vote as hero of the day. Tell me do you have any advice on how to balance a cheque book or shut up noisey children?
