Service could not be found ?

Hi guys
my dm500c now and again it pops up saying service could not be found on my box and I don't recieve any channels .

I turn box off and back on and nothing happens , it does this when ever it wants and comes back on whenever it wants

Anyone got any ideas to what might be the problem and how to fix it . Even tried a scan but nothing happend , been doing this thenlast few weeks on the odd occasion ,

It always seems to be when I want to watch sumthing aswell

sounds the cable company may be having problems in your area maybe check with some of your neighbours

Service could not be found is a signal problem. I can happen sometimes on different channels or on all. Bascially speaking its your line which is the problem here.

Look at all connections make sure they are tight, if you have line split, remove the split and plug line directly into the dreambox.

You could also look at getting a digital booster for your line as the signal strenght may be too low, or what it sounds like is its borderline at present...as it works sometimes.

It only happens now and again , last night I was watching the tv fine then all of a sudden it froze and there was no service ,

There was a few channels that wouldn't work right , espn , itv 2 and a movie channel , the picture was all fuzzy,

and I do think there has been a few problems with virgin in my area ,

I will check all the connections like said and I do have a signal booster in the house somewhere so I will try that also
