DM500 Will DW fix DK image?

I have flashed my new replacement 500c (clone) with DK 1 & DK 1.1 but it does not work. Only get a few channels & no A/V but a full list. I notice that the dates on these images in the d/l section are June & Aug 08. I have a fix for my old box that is Dec 08 used for Munster area that was used in a DW 1.6 image.

Will I do any damage if I FTP these into the VAR folders? I bricked the last box by putting in the wrong image.

you could rename existing files so you dont lose them , then ftp your back up ones across, should be fine. You might have to chmod755 the files again.

once ftpd and chmod755 re boot and re start cam.

remember roms in var/scce or var/keys/nagra

other files in var/keys

Which existing files? The 3 that I want to drop into the DK image?

I tried putting roms into var/scce or var/keys/nagra but same problem. Perhaps these are no good for this image. Would I be better posting a thread & asking for an image that works in my area for a clone? The 2 that I have tried are over a yr old & local supplier has been busy between now & then. Thanks for your help.
