    DM600 Replace processer

    Hi,
    Does anyone know whether a 500c processer is suitable for a 600c. If so is there anyone on here who has the skills to do it.

      It is not JUST a processor, but yes, they both use the same IBM Vulcan STBx25xx SoC.

      Whoever does it will need a $3000+ BGA rework station.

      Truthfully it is impractical. Bin it (save the tuner) or sell it on eBay as no-returns, Spares or Repair, you'll probably get a decent price from people who think they can repair it

              whats wrong with the box?
