Is it the Dreambox itself or the power supply thats faulty ?
Is the green light coming on the adapter ?
The Do803 DC adapters seem to be faulty .
Try another adapter if you have one.
If its the Dreambox itself they are very difficult to self repair for a power issue.

I did,nt really want to open it up in case this geezer assumed i'd broke it,But if he agree,s to let me open it up to see if i can repair, then with a bit of luck it will be something simple.

Had that on my brother-in-laws box and it came from dreambox.org.uk, i also opened it and noticed it was disconnected, 2 minutes later it was up and running.

The bonus was that the seller said we either return the box or keep it and pay $50 (?25) for a new one. So i ended up with the original for ?25.
