dw2.1 problems

morning people. very nice site you seem to have here. i know this isnt the place for 1st post but can anyone help me -?

trying to find out how to scan services with dw2.1 on dreambox 500c? cannot find the option. not sure if a button needs to be pressed? tried holding in button on box, but nothing happening?

if i reset to factory default on that image-i can rescan by holding main button on front of box. but not when its as flashed?

is it worth trying Dw.1 instead?

please help, going mad -been dbox 2 user for last 4 yrs and trying to get on this one now

just press menu 6, service searching and you're there....

strange because if i remember correctly there was no option 6?? service searching?

put dw1 on and that has it but dw2 did not? unless i had a dodgy image? but i got it from 2 different sources?

then if you have the original skin on it go to 6(you can change the skins via 6 set-up>system settings >osd settings>blue to change skins i have pulse by mr dude on mine)

automatic transponder scan
i have dw 2.1 on mine and it has everything on it

Dw 2.1 deffo has the scan option in settings,Also you say you done a factory reset ! if so the first thing after setting the tv output and time region it would ask you if you wanted an auto scan or manual scan ?? away you go all done.

yep correct but when restored to default..i also lose all my cams that were selectable in cam menu. will have another try shortly. thanks

had the same problem myself tried loads of images all the same no search option i think the tuner is f**ked sorry

what you mean???? he got an image on the box hes lost some of the settings?if you lose an option after you have an imgage on your box doesnt mean your tuner is f*****

sorry i did not read the post closely enough what he lost were setting i lost the option to scan
any image i installed gave service organising but not service searching

If you have lost 'service searching' it either means that the tuner is knackered and the main board cannot communicate with it.

Or it is using the wrong version of tuner driver (like a PC and a PCI card). If it's a Dw image then try changing the tuner driver from the blue menu and see if that helps.

yep sounds to me that yer tuners knackered, hope its not though, or try going back to the 2.0 image or the new DKv1, and that will maybe solve your problem.
