DM500 Help Cloning The DM500 Please?

Hello All,
Thanks for allowing me to join the forums.
I have been doing alot of reading, and still cant come to a conclusion on how to clone my DM500 to another DM500.
I already have one that has been configured by a local store that has their personal cardsharing server. They have configured the DM500 according to their server, and I just bought another DM500 and im trying to figure out how to CLONE the other DM500 onto the other one i just bought.

Im thinking about backing up the image of the first DM500 i have and just flashing the second one with that image, but will that copy all the Server Info across?

If not, how can I do what im looking to do? and if it WILL work, how can I simply do the clone? (Backup the first DM-500 and then flash the new DM-500 with the first image)

if that goes work its will only flash the image l think not the channels ..think l would just flash it and add channels with your ftp problem .. all done the same then

so if i backup the first DM-500's image and flash it on the new DM-500 i will get all the server settings for the first one?
if so, i can simply use dreambox edit to copy the channel list from one box to another!

right?

can u use ftp ? u can insert the image into temp then . just rename to root.cramfs and do a manual software update

yeh i DO have ftp access to both DM's... Now the question is how can i Backup the image of the first so that i can flash the second DM wiht it?

just backup in menu options . then ftp to the box go to temp folder and its there . copy to desktop and the ftp to your new box and rename the backup folderto root.cramfs and then put in the temp folder on your new box . them in menus option go to software update and pick manual and install the image ..


dont forget to copy the enigma folders and cable folde from var/tuxbox/config and copy them over after your have flashed the new box

think he's not after just adding a new img the same as the old one mate, he's asking about cardsharing server details from one to another box on a sat 500, and as far as i know we dont talk about that on here as it involves s*y.

general discussion ive seen but not tech help involving it.

he must be, he mentions the local stores card sharing server, as you know the cable ones dont use card sharing.

alright perfect, now once this is done i should have teh same carsharing settings on both boxes? so they will both leech keys off the same cardsharing server and the same account?
