ANOTHER....brick or no brick?

Hello,

I have been playing arund with various images on my open media 500 box (dream box clone)

i decided to go back to one of my original images - pli-Jade-dm500

i flashed the box using Dcc and everything went ok as usual. When i restarted my box , all i get is a black screen and no sound. the green light does not respond to any remote comands either - no menu, nothing.

I am also unable to ftp into the box. I am assuming the image became corrupt somehow during the flash but im really stuck as to how to fix the problem?

if i switch the box into sat mode, it boots up fine - this kinda confirms the hardware is ok and its the flash on the cable chip that has gone bad.

Could anyone please suggest anyway at all that i could restore a working image onto my box?

i really hope i dont have a brick!

should be just a case of relashing image with dreamup using a null modem cable

having done some more reserch i have come to the same conclusion. all is not lost then!

ill post an update once i have got hold of a cable so others can relate to any similar problems.
