The 500 series dreambox is no longer manufactured by the OEM, you can only buy clones now (available from various sites mentioned in other threads and made in China). The clones are reputed to have a better tuner in them than the originals but you will need to read up the threads about JTAGing the box first. They maybe the cheapest but can you afford more and go for the DM600 which is better.

some clones have better tuners but beware of retailers selling old stock with weak tuners..not meant for our market and signal levels
