help getting db600 to work in a different area

how would i get my dreambox that works in manchester to work in leeds? i tried it in leeds and will only pick up like 2 channells which is the on demand preview channel and some other one, it wont even pick up freeview, what do i change on the box? do i need a different cables.xml file or do i need to change the roms or something, please help.

yes i did, back in manchester now so cant try it again till i go up to leeds again, i dunno realy, i put the cables.xml file on about 4 or 5 months ago now, is there a newer one out? i also heared that leeds are having problems with dreamboxes at the min, or it might have passed now.

is it the brute force one that scans 6887 and 6952
or do a manual scan
frequency>00666
inv>tick
fec>auto
symbol rate>06952
network search>tick
start scan

this should work

i dont know what you mean sorry, all i know is that i do bruteforce for uk and it finds a transponder. could you explain to me what 6887 and 6952 is? do you haven an msn account that i can talk to you on, would sute me better,

6887 is symbol rate for the old ntl area ,6952 is for old telewest/ex c&w area
but if you have bruteforce that means it scans for both areas

oh nice 1, i unerstand now, ok well i dunno what it might be then, u think maby a signal issue or summet to do with the roms? do you have an msn account or facebook ?

but the roms work for both areas
once you done scan in leeds
restart your cam/emu
should be ok

the thing is i have tried doin a bruteforce scan so it would have scanned all areas, so i need to do something different, maby change the cables.xml file?

ive just moved to london, and my drembox 500c has stopped working - how can i get all the channels for free again?

I have tried rescanning, enable/disbale emu all that does not work. what am i doing wrong please help.
