    500c losing espn

    Hi,

I have a 500c in the bexley area, south east london. I can get sky sports 1-3, espn classic, america without problems.

espn has trouble. I can get it to work at times by doing an automatic transponder scan and usually going through around 13 or so networks gets a result.

However once found, the channel becomes distorted/encrypted after around 2 weeks, resulting in another scan needed.

Does anyone else have this problems\recommendations for over coming this?

    thanks

Never heard anything like this before.

On the whole, channels rarely move, certainly not every two weeks.

While you can have signal issues, resulting in glitchy or freezing channels, they are not usually fixed by re-scanning.

I'd give the usual advice, remove the splitter if you do not need it. Try a variable attenuator or an amplifier.
