DM800 upgrade from 500c to 800hd questions

Hi all, 1st post so be gentle
currently have a 500c on virgin running dw 1.65 and am looking to change to a dm800c hd, anyone done this and have tips for key transfer etc...? whats the best image for the 800? i am familiar with ftp and just need pointing in right direction.

Yes, I too have done this and used niblosat, gemini and pli jade images on the 800 all working fine. Btw, I must say, the picture even on non HD channels and sound is ~~~~ing amazing with the 800c. Seriously blown me away how clear and crisp it is. One problem though was adding hard drive, seems my 800 sata connection doesnt work so board is on its way back to dvbseller.com for replacement.

All the "magic" files i.e roms etc.. go into same directories as your 500 so you will not have any difficulty if you can do the 500. I should have my replacment board back with me in 10 days or so, so once I have the hard drive working and setup, I'll upload my backup image to rapdishare (with roms etc..for all to use if they wish.

cheers, its been a while so will hunt out images but the link would be cool, regarding sound the box has dvi which i believe doesnt do sound so are you running it via optical?

Sound /picture etc... goes through the hdmi cable which is supplied in the box.. Im not using optical.
