Not going so well

Should have stuck to d boxes
Brand new 500c flashed with Dreamup
First image loads onto box no channels found
Then dont do anything,Nopower light,Wont respond to remote
Erased that flash with Erase from the Downloads
And reflashed with DK1.1
This then loads but keeps rebooting Load screen
Again no power light
I done one last night no probs .............Paul

i can't find an image for mine that won't keep the audio/video in sync. pli jade 3 seems to work but i like neutrino.


when i say i, i mean our lass has TOLD me to put neutrino on as it's the only 1 she can get to grips with!

Once the image is on the box
It wont function at all

Have a look at this thread, download and uncompress the erase.zip file .Fllash the erase.img image to your dm500 and then flash your chosen image to your dm500.

Tried both options now
Its like its lost the bootloader
This is one of 3 came yesterday
First one Flashed exellant
second the same ,but Enthernet port is foo*ed and cant FTP
third one Wont load no power on front of box
But Red glowing Light from power into back of box ..............Paul

put the clean flash on, without flash erase ticked then do the same with the actual image you want.

Update ,took off the lid
Ribbon had fallen off,Attached it back on
All is well,But now i have 2 500c with no Enthernet ports working
Wots the easiest way to transfer files Via 232 cable
Complete backup and reflash this with the K**S and C**s

If your ethernet ports do not work then there is no way you can transfer the magice files. You will need to use the null modem cable and Dreamup to flash an working image from the one fully working dm500c on to your two faulty dm500 boxes.

Or do what I do, backup a perfect image from a unit via Dreamup and NULL modem cable. THen flash that perfect image onto the boxs which dont have ethernet. I have a few duff ethernet ones I wouldnt send back as works perfectly well via dreamup and null modem cable, bit slower flashing, but its rare I need to do it, but it does give you a working box without costs of returning and on cable we dont need ethernet anyways
