DM500 How to keep setting when you flash box

Hi, this is probably a very basic question, but I'm new to all this. I'm using a Dreambox 500c on Chorus Ireland and its working fine. My current image is a DigitalWorldz 1.6.5.

My question is if I flash the Dreambox with the new Digital Kaos V.1 image, would it still work on the same provider? Or is there some setting that I need to save beforehand like keys, channel list, etc. If so how do I do it?

yes you can extract your keys and service files from your old image and install them on the new image
but it is easier to install the new image,download the keys,ftp them to your new image do a scan and make sure you active evocam (press info for 3 sec)
its easy belive me all the info you need is in the stickeys

Thanks for replies. I just want to keep all the settings such as channel list and keys so that I can still receive all the channels.

I'll look around for stickeys, and have a go.

copy the xml files and the keys to the new image and u should get the channels

xml's r in var>tuxbox>config>zappit>
and keys in var>keys ...if i remeber correctly
