sound drops

I have a bit of a sound problem i am working with a dream box and on some channels i get sound loss this is when go from a loud section to a soft section on a program or straight after adverts as the sound is always less afer adverts (why does the sound go up for adverts that really bugs me ) example csi on fiver last night there was a section where 2 suspects pass each other there is no talking but some music you dont get the music and aslo you miss the first sentance that is said after this point its as if the sound is noe kicking in.
my set up is scart leads they are not cheapies they are middle of the road jods ?35.
has any one eles had this problem is there a fix

You didn't say which box you had but on the DM500 there is lip sync issue which is normally resolved by disabling the 'fast zapping' in the system settings.

yes it is a dm 500 its not just talking it happens for all sor of sounds its as if the sound does not kick in will that fix this as well

Not sure if it will fix it in your case but there is no harm in trying it out.
