    DM600 Evocamd download (tar.tbz2/tar.gz)??

    Hihi,

Need Evocamd for my DM600 which is NOT hooked up to the Internet (and unable to do so)

I need to manual install, the download on the thread below isn't working:

Any one know where I can get?

Thanks, I copied them over to my temp folder (pli image) it didn't recognize it, so I changed the file extension to .tar.gz (as it asks).. it says it installs but I don't think so as it says space required 0kb.

I goto the menu using blue button and there's no cams to select. Do I need to convert it properly to .tar.gz or what?

      Any help appeciated!!

        try this

To add a Soft Cam manually to a pli image

FTP the appropriate files to your box and chmod the files
Create an empty file with the same name as the Soft Cam, for example "evocamd".
        Upload this file to /var/etc/plimgr/cams/
PLi Manager will now detect the new Soft Cam "evocamd", if you entered a version number in your file it will be recognised as such
Choose the new Soft Cam in the Soft Cam Setup

        Or via a Telnet session:
FTP the appropriate files to your box and chmod the files
Telnet to your box and type:
        echo "1.9" > /var/etc/plimgr/cams/pcam

Okay if I go with the telnet method... I copy the following

            To /var/etc/plimgr/cams/pcam

Then just telnet the command over? I'm not familier with chmod tho? Thanks.

              Hi m8
chmod is easy using your ftp programe ftp evocamd to var/bin write click on it and go to permissions or file writes and tick the apropriat boxes till it says 755 permissions hope this helps.

              cheers johny48

ftp whatever evocamd you want to the temp folder
on your pc create a folder called exactly the same name and ftp it to /var/etc/plimgr/cams/ chmod as said in above post
then manual install via the addons menu
                then start cam

I've reuploaded the files in this thread.

Don't use the manual install options, extract the file on your PC with winrar and copy the files to their locations one by one. That's all a manual install does, just copies the files to the folders they are in.
