Have you put in the cable.xml file which tells it the feq to scan?

You don't actually need to put the cables.xml file in the box. I scanned for services using the following settings: -

Took a random area to use for this example
Newcastle 40969 411000 6952 NEW 20.10.2006


Going to Service Scan -> Manual scan.

Type of scan: Single transponder
Frequency: 411
Inversion: Auto
Symbol Rate: 06952
Modulation: 64-QAM
FEC: Auto
Network Scan: Yes

Try using set my location in one of the menus and then doing a scan. If you get just the free channels then you need to add >>>4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download nagrarom7.bin
to the varkeys and var/scce folder.
