@smirnoff are you thinking of the backup and restore plugin if so that won't be available on the pli image as it was one of mr dudes special plugin. Copy the one below to var/tmp and then install manually.

Thank you going to try this one.

                plugins.tar.gz

Think you need it to end with the GZ to do a manual install.

@satman you maybe right m8 but I only came across the plugin for the first time on his noob image as I was one of his beta testers so that was why I gave mr dude the credit for the plugin.

You need to extract the file for the zip file and than ftp to the var/tmp directory on your dreambox and than press the Blue button and select manual install. You should hopeful;ly see plugin.tar.gz file and you can than select to install maunally.

nope, tried extracting the other file but as its not a tz or gz file it wont allow me to do a manual install after reboot it does not see it to let me install.

The var/tmp gets deleted after each reboot so you won't see it in the tmp again. You are going to have to ftp the files to the relevant directories and than do a chmod 755.

What is a chmod 755 and how do you do it, sorry if the naswer is simple.

I have extracted the following files to the tmp directory.

                        dm7020-dm600pvr - FOLDER
                        dm7025 - FOLDER
                        build-nfi-image.sh
                        secondstage.bin

I am not familiar with the files you extracted. chmod sets the permissions on the files normally done by right clicking on the files in your ftp program.

                              <--MILLWALLFC added 0 Minutes and 30 Seconds later...-->

                              oh just seen this

ftp the file to the tmp dir, telnet into box and issue these commands:

                              cd /
                              tar -xvzf /tmp/plugins.tar.gz

                              I give it ago.
