IF you know how to get into your router can you see what ip address it has assigned your dreambox.

There is no real need to * that out as it is a internal IP,,,, anyways,, are you sure DHCP wasnt ticked and it may have assigned a differnet ip for some un-known reason,
You need keep trying get onto the web interface now,, if you cant get on youl need a null modem flash before you will get anything working again like....
          boom!

If you go into your routers admin menu and check for what devices are currently attached to your network, one of those should be your dreambox and all you need to do is type in that address into your browser.

Just watch there was a guy i was trying to do this with other day and it just wouldnt do it for some reason,, i was sure he had done something wrong, but poor bugger tried every ip his router was allowed to use and just wouldnt connect,, and his dhcp table wont show it if he had indeed unchecked use DHCP,,

I have a netgear router and wether I have the dhcp checked or not it seems to pick the same address everytime for both of my boxes i.e DM500 and Dm600.

yup,, it should keep ips on its mac address depending on the settings in your router,,,
link-sys and belkin you can see DHCP tables,, but if its manual ip wont show
                    boom!

You will need a crossover cable to connect to your dreambox if you are not using a router.

not followed the whole thread but have you set your PC/laptop wth the same ip address range as the dreambox..

As faddy says whatever ip address you are using for your dreambox you want to give your pc the same give or take 1.

right buddy sounds like your going through the wars with this hehehe best to step back at take a fresh look at it

what id do is set your pc to a static ip of
                                192.168.1.6
                                255.255.255.0

                                save it

now on dreambox before you insert the power press and HOLD the button on front of box keep it pressed while u power up

now everything is powered up your gunna have to ping all known ips (should be a post on here on how to find you ip this way) one way that may work is at dos window type ipconfig/all should show whats conected
once you found it open up internet browser and type the dreambox ip (http://192.168.x.x)
                                fingers crossed

                                cheers
