        Heading away on business tomorrow so I'll be incognito till Sunday. In the mean time I hope you'll be able to get your DM600 receiving an IP over DHCP somehow. Hopefully someone else will be able to step in and help you with that.

                got it sorted today. a friend of a friend sells computers had a look, done a fair bit of head scratching and hey presto one working dreambox. he did something with hyper terminal as far as i could see, but i could see that he did not want me to see what it was he did. anyway thanks to all here in this thread for their efford.I,D LOVE TO KNOW WHAT HE DID.

                    I have tried the steps above..
                    press power button before insert power supply..green light stays on.
                    then I went to run/cmd to bring up the commant prompt ant typed
                    ipconfig /all it onley shows my computers ip address.
                    it did not detect my dreambox's ip.

                    I have used flashwizard pro and dcc via network before the big bang...

                    will a null cable rs232 work using dreamup,flashwizard pro,enigma tools,
                    (dcc)dreambox control centre,NFS dream or will all work with rs232.
