Is there an Image for Satellite and another for cable?

im having delivery of my first cable dreambox tomorrow. I know Dreambox 500S, 600S and 8000. I can set up satellite dreambox in minutes.

I have nabilo, Pli jade, and DK images on my PC hard drive. Will these same images work for cable or i have to download images specific for cable?

I have a dm600s and dm600c and I use the Pli Jade 3 image on both boxes. Works a treat.

Don't worry the image won't ask you that if its a cable tuner.

sorry guys to be so thick. My box is here with me now. I have installed pli jade 3.

I tried to scan but it cant lock on any transponder. Whats the procedure here

I have put keys where they are suppose to be var/keys

and restarted evocam and but still the screen is blank across all channels minus free-to-air

Did you put the roms in var/scce? Also try mgcam when you've done this.

there are 2 var folders. One is just var and another var_init which of these 2 do i put keys on?

I think i made a mistake in putting in var/keys. but now im trying to put them in var_init/keys but a message is coming - 9 files failed to transfare.
