MMDS Kerry

Hi all,

I havent visited this site is a while, I come home today after being away for a few days and my dreambox 500t is not working to my horror. Ive done a bit of reading here so it seems like I have a redundant 500t as N3 is up and running so I have a few questions :
1. Have I fallen to Ch0ru$ and their new N3 encription or do I just need to re-flash and reload some cams etc
2. If it is N3 is my 500t totally redundant now?
3. What are my options now!! dont say I have to actually pay or go free sat

I am located in Co. Kerry, Ireland. I use (used) a 500T for a MMDS signal.

Ive rescanned but no joy, still no tv
I looked at the power supply, all is well here. I checked the cable outside its a little perished but not bad I can give it a good inspection tomorrow but id say its fine

Im running the same cam, 2.12

starting to get pissed off here now I really enjoyed my 500t

I havent see any posts regarding problems in my area or any new cams etc
should I reflash and reinstall all the files again ?

is your box getting a signal whats your snr and agc readings i still think it maybe your aerial power adaptor the one with the tv cable going from the box to the aerial outside i had this one time and it drove me mad if you have no snr and agc reading its the power supply you can see thse when you do a rescan

The SNR is really erratic, its jumping from 20% to 99 % all the time
The AGC is dead, its at 0% and not moving

The funny thing here is that both are the same when the power is off and on (no change to SNR or AGC), you may right,

I have looked at the power box, the fuse works the box is warm

I think I'll take it apart and have a look inside the little black box

ya i had the same you can buy a power supply from here
Satandcable Sat and Cable: MMDS Aerial/Aerials Antenna and DVB-T Terrestrial Re - Satellite & Cable LTD
there around 13 euro
you could also have a bad connection
one other thing you could try is cut the power supply box and use a phone charger power supply there they have the same type power just check both power supply power in and out first best of luck

Decided to take apart the power supply, disconnected the antenna and the "decoder" cable, the antenna cable was rusted and not making a connection. inside the power supply box the antenna cables were all corroded too, cleaned it all up cut back a new bit of cable boxed up everything and she is as good as new.

Thanks for the help jackandgill
