DM500 advise and little help

Hi having a little problem sorting out the good the bad and the ugly when it comes to cable,terr and sat boxes. have had sat humax ,freesat and freeview , but my aim is to have a decent system up and running but cost is a factor. looking at the dreambox but told of fake boxes and dont buy here by there from several people. any advise and a contact where i wont be ripped of?? regards stu

Quite easy really...cost is factor so you want a Dreambox 500 model.
If you have cable then you need a 500C if sat then you need 500S.

Cable is cheapest as you need nothing else other than the box, the image and cable line into the house.

If sat, then you need the box, internet acess and to get cardsharing.

There is some places to buy from I've used them all and always come back to dvbseller.com. They also only one who will fix/replace if anything goes wrong within a year. Others may have their own favs.

Agree with 'Bonesy' on this one, whatever you do, stay away from the 'monkey'!!

have read posts and have had mixed reviews but on the whole i suppose the amount thats purchased like anything else sometimes people have a bit of bad luck with goods, im one of them so itll prob happen to me . appreciate the feedback guys. thanks. will be using cable for the box easier than having to source cardshare. cheers again.

Hi, i didn't know where to post this as im a newbie.

Im having trouble with my dreambox 500c, i have flashed the box with dk 1.1 img and have ftp'd into the box and added the roms and keys, but when ever i scan i can only wach freeview channels, like BBC1 and ITV.

I've read many great guides on this site but no progress. I have tried everything, went to $ky sports 1 and restarted evocamd 2.12.. No luck what so ever. Pls help!!! Thanx in advance.
