DM600 PVR - Problems getting channels

Hi All,

Apologies if this is covered elsewhere but I've been looking round this forum for a while now & not found a solution to the problem I'm having.

To explain the situation:

I've updated the image on my Dreambox 600 PVR to 'backup_image_20090918.nfi'

This has worked ok.

I've updated the cables.xml file & then done a bruteforce search which has found numerous channels.

However, none of these channels are displaying - the names are there, when I hit TV I see them all listed but I can't watch any of them. Screen just stays blank and says the EPG isn't available.

I've updated the Keys in usr/keys directory with files
mp_cfg
softcam.key

Also what are the SCEE files and where do I locate these?

None of what I've done so far seems to be having any affect - I still can't watch any channels including the FTA ones.

If someone can suggest a solution I'd be grateful.

I reckon I'm most the way here with this, I've now d/l Minicats_Key_Bundle software that had loads of keys & SCCE files - I've uploaded these to my dreambox but I'm still not getting any channels displayed.

As before the channels are listed under the 'TV' button but when I select them no picture is displayed. It's pretty weird because it shows me a resolution at 720x576, says 25 fps and the 'SNR' is constantly changing percentage normally around 81-83%. I'm definitely getting something but maybe the keys I'm using aren't right?

Can anyone suggest suitable keys? If I'm missing something then please let me know - it's driving me mad...

How about you start from FRESH.

Start by downloading the PLi image from here.

PLi? Images website Top right hand side click on DM600 and save the file. Unzip it and then flash.

Then we can start afresh with the magic files to make sure you have the right roms and key info

Ok great, I've just updated the image with the one from the PLi website. There are now only 2 options under auto transponder scan which are SR6900 & SR6875.

Previously these didn't work so I'm guessing they won't now?

If you can give me the next steps then that would be appreciated.

FTP this file into /etc/tuxbox Digital Kaos - Downloads - Cables.xml file for the UK and Ireland

Then do a UK Bruteforce scan. Once you can at least get FTA then you can work on getting the others working.

Download this,

FTP them into /etc/tuxbox/scce

Then download this,

FTP them to usr/keys and CHMOD to 755

Then using the blue button you go into softcam setup and choose evocam as the default. Green button then saves+starts the cam.

Then go to S*y sport1, wait 10 secs or so and flick to another channel.

Try that and see what happens. "Some of these instructions may be in error as I'm mighty tired and trying to respond to this via phone"

Hi,

I tried your suggestions but unfortunately this hasn't worked - under 'SoftCam Setup' there was nothing listed under the drop down menu's, only thing there was '--Default--'.

So I'm clear I copied the following files in to the directories you suggested & changed the attributes to 755.

usr/keys
AutoRoll.K*y
Down to:
SoftCam.k*y

/etc/tuxbox/scce
nagraepr7.b*n
Down to:
nagrarom11.b*n

One thing I did try was updating my menu's - this then gave me the option to download softcam software & config using the dreambox itself.

Once this was down there were options under the Softcam Setup area e.g. Evocamd 2.17b.

I select this, pushed the green button to save and restart the softcam but still s*y Sp**ts 1 wouldn't display, tried a few others channels & had the same thing. Also tried removing & then installing different softcams but once again all I was getting was a blank screen.


Any ideas where I'm going wrong here?

I'm having pretty much same prrob with my 7025?
I've got fta channels.
And have put over files suggested but other channels wont clear?
I'm on gemini 4.40 and evocam. and keys scce etc from earlier in this thread.
Any help please?

Ha Haa. Got it mostly working....

So finally got mostly working last night.
Have to make sure you get all files in right place...
Got MGcam to clear.
Will mess with evo later.....

Forum excellent place for info. Off to gather more on next issue now
