advantage of different emu's?

is there any advantage in usign Gcam,over evo 2.12 ?

i have downloaded the new cams Evo 2.17 and gcam and wondered what is best to run? it runs fine using Evo 2.12 but on my dbox i ran gcam with no probs?

Any thoughts please?

On the satellite scene it can make a big difference but on cable I would go with whatever works.
