    replaced services file

I got hold of a dbox 2 services file, converted it to an dreambox format and ftped it back to the dm500. even after reloadchannels the services displayed are the original ones, noty the new file I have updated.

    Confused ?????

I have renamed the old services file, double checked the new services file is correct, but for some reason the box still seems to pick up the original.

any ideas, are there two locations for the services file ? I have replaced in \var\tuxbox\config\enigma

    Thanks in advance

which image you using? and what type of services file have you converted to?
Replacing the services in \var\tuxbox\config\enigma does not often work but corrupts the image in my case and only way to make it work after is to reflash with null modem cable.

You need the services to be 1 file 'services.tar.gz' which you ftp to the tmp folder of your box and then 'reload channels'.

Try this...If you are transfer over using ftp, once services over into box type http://192.168.x.xxx/cgi-bin/reloadSettings into your internet browser and press go. reboot box and see if that works.
http://192.168.x.xxx being you ip addy of dreambox

its in the \var\tuxbox\config\enigma directory and the original has been renamed to aaaa. there is also a services.locked file in the same area, I have also tried renaming that the aaa.locked, with not positive output , the only thing that seems to have happen when I reloaded channels is that the channel numbers changed.
