DM800 Best image for EPG

I've tried PLi Jade 3 which had some EPG but was very poor. Just tried BlackHole 09 and don't have an EPG at all.

Can someone recommend what Image is the best for EPG or if it works OK on any of them?

I've tried various images on my dm800(genuine) and always come back to the gemini 4.40, which whilst not brilliant in all respects does have a reasonable epg - unlike my experience with nabilo,pli & newnigma etc.

Mines is a clone so I don't think Gemini Images will work on it?

Can you say what was the best out of the other ones? The Pli one doesn't really have any EPG at all.

i was thinking the same thing you know

i have 4.4 on my clone, the epg aint great, its a bit intermitent. but when it works its great. you have to be on the channels for 10 secs or so to see the full epg

10 secs is not too bad. Of the 2 I tried I only got a couple of channels showing what on whilst on the channels list with the PLi image and on the BH image I got nothing at all.

So by 4.4 I take it you mean Gemini 4.4? I take it that is OK on your clone then? Just I thought I'd read not to put Gemini images on clones?

yeh its ok on clones, it takes 10 seconds for the channel im on, it doesnt show others at all, well its hit and miss. but when i1st got the box it all worked fine??? is there any plugins??

I just found one that said it was defo OK on clones and the sig of the person that posted it indicates that they are who I got the box from so all should be OK.

I'll post up about how my EPG is when I get it on shortly - it's flashing just now.

I've put on Gemini 4.4 and hardly get any EPG at all. Not much better than the others.

Also quite a few channels are very blocky. Although this might be down to the signal.

How much EPG do you get? I'm mainly looking for it to show what's on when I go in to the channel / bouquets lists so that I can see what on on all channels quickly.

My Pli Jade v3 image gives me the same EPG as any other image, if not better!

I don't think the image is the problem.

Gemini images are complete and utter shit IMO.

Yeah I found that Pli Jade, i.e the first one I tried was the best but was still pretty crap.

Any idea what it could be if the image is not the problem?

Just turn it on and it didn't do anything.

Went into EPG refresh and selected "Refresh Now" and nothing appeared to happen.

Then set it to refresh after 13.30 and before 14.00 which means it should have been downloading the EPG for half and hour and I still had nothing after that bar what's currently on on a few channels.

Strange. Tis a right PITA. Considering it works fine on the dbox2 and 500c I have.

Would be good if more people using DM800 boxes could post about their EPG.
