dreambox 500c keys

i need keys for my dreambox and when ive got them do i goto vars/init/keys and put them in there?

goto>>>>>http://www.mercs.us/tools/real_magic.rar and download. then place them in var/keys & var/scce and that should be all.

i downloaded tried to put them in the keys file and scce and both attaemps failed

what programme and what method (ie:cross over cable or router) you using to transfer files.
