DM800 Fixing EPG on dm800 cable

Ok, been working on this most of today and have got to state where I need to post for others who have the ofcu to work on it also.

Below is from another forum regards the EPG on dm800 sat models, seesm they have same problem we are having on cable version. so I think a fix could be the same.

I dont want to link to this order forum as it could be against the forum reules so I'll paste whats been said.

Well, I now have all my Terrestrial Bouquet and Sky Bouquet all EPG`d up and it all looks stable, zaps and records as they should

Now to Sky Movies,

I cant get EPG for Sky family HD, but can get Sky family ok

I cant get EPG for Sky Premier or Sky Premier HD, but can get Sky Premier + 1

I can receive and view the channels ok, I have got them selected in the EPG Channel list.

I can only assume the EPG Channel List is wrong, so the question is,

For any given Sky Channel for example Sky Family HD, how do you generate the info to put into the EPG Channel List ?

These are the settings I have for the Sky Family EPG

1;1808;Sky Family;305;1133:7d7:2

Anyone else got these working ?

Paste this into the channels.uk file

Hope your in East Yorks as I dont have a West Yorks

This is a how to make a correct Sky Uk epg list

a=download channel yes or no ( 1 or 0 )
b=channel ID
c=Channel name
d=Sky EPG number
e=SID ( from dreambox edit )
f=TSID
g=Network ID

The service id (SID position e can be read from dreamboxedit 3.0. Keep in mind that in dreambox edit its in decimal not in hex so you need to convert it to be used in EPG list.
TV3 Ireland sid is 9605 dec = hex 2585
to find the Channel iD for the uk list, you will need a copy of the CCcam.channelinfo, Open it and scroll down until you find # BSkyB (28E) VideoGuard, in that list you will find this line 0961:000000:2585 "BSkyB - TV3 Ireland [NDS]"
Remove everything marked in red
0961:000000:2585 "BSkyB - TV3 Ireland [NDS]"
and you will have the Channel id
1255

A; B ; C ; D ; E : F : G
1;1255;TV3 Ireland;104;2585:7fb:2

so, put simply it looks like a file on the unit needs to be told where to look for some channel EPG feeds.

Its nothing to do with the image, the rom or anything.

old git, yeh it seems to be the same channels on cable that dont show unless your on them

yep its the same, i.e FIVE never updates on mine.
