    DM600 CAM issues

    Hi

Just got hold of my first DM600C PVR and am struggling a little - have installed the pli jade 3 image and installed the cable.xml file and am able to scan and pick up both FTA and pay channels.

However i cant view the pay channels. I've chucked the keys in the correct folder but cant get any softcam to select in the default cam dropdown.

Im not connected to the internet with it so i cant download straight to the box from the net - i'll have to ftp across

Ideally i need to get and find out how to install either evocamd 2.12 or 2.13 manually - ive tried zipping it to a .tar.gz file and putting it in /tmp but no files show in the manual install within jade

    help

Would make your life easier if you had the box connected to the net even if its just for downloading the cam.

But none the less. Try these. One is the evocamd_2.14.tar.gz

    And the other is evocamd_2.17c.tar.gz

    Start with the 2.14

If uploading to /tmp doesn't pick up the files try var/tmp instead

finally got this sorted - realised after a couple of failed attempts that anything store in /tmp is deleted after the box is unplugged.

however, even when finally being able to locate a cam in the manual install screen, i installed and no cam was available in the default cam dropdown on the softcam setup.

even tried manually extracting the cam and placing all of the files into the relevant folders - var/bin var/script var/uninstall without any joy

eventually had to hook the box up to my router and install thru their - success at last, worked straight away and the evocamd was selectable as default cam.
